Abstract Background: The development of sports and growing interest in musculoskeletal health have increased the focus on foot and ankle conditions, particularly flatfoot deformity (FD). FD is a common and rising condition, either congenital or acquired due to obesity, sedentary lifestyle, diabetes, and other factors. There is an urgent need for accurate diagnostic and treatment strategies. Weight-bearing foot radiographs are considered the gold standard for evaluating FD, but local data on Vietnamese patients remain limited. Objective: This study aimed to assess the radiographic characteristics of flatfoot deformity on weight-bearing foot X-rays at 1A Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Methods: Patients diagnosed with FD were evaluated using weight-bearing radiographs in three standard views: lateral, anteroposterior, and Saltzman hindfoot alignment. Radiographic measurements were compared to diagnostic reference thresholds cited in the literature. Results: A total of 54 lateral, 46 anteroposterior, and 34 Saltzman view radiographs were analyzed. Patients ranged from 8 to 41 years old, with a male-to-female ratio of 2.4:1.
